  PC Logging Software for FCP

  Can anyone recommend PC logging software that is compatible with FCP? We would like to stay away from Excel.

  The Executive Producer is all I can think of that works in a pro environment that interns or loggers can bang away and still produce accurate logs.

  I posted the following a few days ago. The “Executive Producer” is essentially the original version of the same software that has evolved over the years.

  We have been logging tapes sucessfully for years with Imagine Products “WinTep” now “Tep X”. Check out their site. They do both Mac and Windows versions though we use the windows version to free up the Mac for editing. They also have more heavy duty database software to be able to perform searches and set up an archive but I am in Italy and they are in Indiana so for us the risk was too great with respect to investment required. We are “getting by” with a homemade Access database but are always shopping for something better and more professional. The logging module exports logs compatible with all the major edit systems.
