    Ok.

I am hearing mixed reviews about tiger and it’s bugginess. Can someone please clarify whether it is woth the upgrade or should I wait. Are you running it. And it is it stable enough for FCP and all the whistles.

    thanks.

Give everyone a few more days… studio just shipped today & we shall see how FCP5 dances with Tiger. As a good rule, if your system isn’t broke don’t fix it. Most people will wait to upgrade until you are prohibiting your money making opportunities. I’m excited to hear good feedback though!!!

    Hi Dedister

My advice is to wait until FCP5 ships. I upgraded to Tiger, and had a few days of pulling hair out, reinstalling FCP, Motion, Compressor, rinse, repeat. We did get things working, but it was quite frustrating.

And since the upgrade, we are now no longer able to “rountrip” our Motion files in FCP sequences; ie. FCP will now no longer render a Motion sequence correctly from the timeline.

I expect everything should be all jazzed up for FCP Studio… Bring it on.

    Best of luck

    Regards
    Peter
