  • FCPHD will not render my sequence.

Posted by Ryan Tamm on May 12, 2005 at 7:32 pm

I am having an issue with FCPHD not rendering my sequence. I have all the sequence render options turned on(checked) and I am getting both green and red lines above certain clips(clips which need rendering before export) and when I hit “render all”, the render screen comes up for a split second, but nothing renders. I have looked at my sequence presets and things look in order, but I could be missing something.

I don’t know what I have here, so if anyone has an idea that would be great.(Maybe I bumped a setting astray with a keyboard shortcut and didn’t realize it.)

    Thanks for your time.

Try a “Select-All” (highlighting all) of the clips on the timeline before you attempt to render.

And/or set an IN-point at the head of the timeline and an OUT-point at the end of the timeline and try your render then.

If nothing helps (and even if it DOES) you might need to Trash your FCP Preferences.

Click the following link for instructions on how to do this…

Another method is to use “FCP Rescue” a free Apple Script that will Trash the Preferences for you (and restore nearly all of your user settings afterward).
There are versions for FCP & FCE.
