  Capturing from Hi8 b/w Capture Now tip

  I had a gig with an old Hi8 once, a band who had some tapes shot in shows.
  FCP choked on every drop frame. (every 10 sec..)
  So I took it to iMovie, captured the lot, and imported the clips to FCP.
  Worked fine (probably iMovie’s target audience shouldn’t worry about drops)
  Not very pro I know but did the trick for this gig.

  Also I configed my CAPTURE NOW time limit to 20min.
  Why ? So i can get 4-4.3 GB clips (that’s DV we’re talking about)
  and that makes the files fit on a DVD (media).
  If the bride wants all the 5 hours of the wedding, she can have it
  on DVD (I charge on these of course !) and watch at the comfort of her own monitor.
