FCP5 Studio: 41 gig?
Hey all –
I noticed from the Apple site that if you install FCP5 Studio with all its templates and tutorials, you are looking at 41 gig worth of material. Will the install overwrite the current applications to be more efficient with space or do we uninstall and reinstall FCP5? I was hoping to have this on my G4 PB, but 41 gig, kind of makes it tough. Thanks in advance.

Scott, you might do what I just did. Swap out your HD. I now have a Seagate Momentus 5400 RPM 100 GB drive + 1 GB of RAM. Plenty of room for all the stuff.

I think I paid $229. Now they are a bit lower at $189.

According to Apple’s specs, 4GB of disk space required to install all applications; additional 41GB required to install all optional templates, loops, content and tutorials (may be installed on separate disks)
Hopefully this holds true.
