  clean timeline

  is there a script or command to clean a timeline in fcp? i want a command that automatically removes clips that i’ve disabled, and removes overlaping clips

  Nope.

  You are going to have to do it all manually.

  How do you “disable” a clip? Never heard of that…

  Right click on it and you can select the option to disable it… i.e. it remains there, but is “invisible”. you can “enable” it right back too. It’s really meant to be used to temporarily not see the clip to say, work on a composite…

  I’d suggest a better workflow in the first place is to trim things up as you go, so you wouldn’t even need the option you are asking for in the first place.
