  MPG-2 glitch

  FCP-HD. OSX.3 G-5.
  Trying to export through Quicktime conversion to an mpg2 file. FCP keeps giving me an error message: “The movie must be rendered before it can be encoded”. I have rendered and re-rendered. Saved-as. cut-and pasted into a new timeline. It refuses to find a rendered file.
  ???
  Any help out there?

  Larry,

  Export as a QT movie and put it in Compressor.
