FCP HD crashes while running Compressor
I’m trying to run a sequence through Compressor and FCP HD keeps crashing on me part way through. I’ve never had this trouble before,but this is the longest sequence I’ve worked on. Any ideas? Is there a setting I’m missing somewhere?
I have it set for a 2 pass VBR.

BTW – it’s a 1 hour and 53 minute sequence.

have you upgraded to quicktime 7 yet. The same thing just happen to me and I have to deliver a disc in a couple of hours. I’m reinstalling quicktime pro 6.5 and I’m thinking that will do it for me. I’ll let you know – if this applies to you.
I have seen it happen before and what it usually relates to is update/version problem. It seems that if parts of the FCP, Compressor, Quicktime, DVD Studio pro equation don’t match it gets finicky. Try reinstalling compressor – and if you’re using it DVD studio pro. 3 people have told me of the same problem and reinstalling studio pro fixed it.

After running the 10.3.9 update along with QT 7, Compressor would not even launch. Same problem with Live Type. After deleting both programs and doing a re-install, everything is working out nicely. I think I will just go back to the 10.3.6 update and stay there.

I’m running 10.3.8, OT 6.5.2,Compressor 1.2.1 – nothing much seems to be working here. This problem is only happening on this long sequence. Shorter sequences go through with no problem – including one that’s an hour. I’d love to hear if your reinstalls work and dropping back in OS.RJ
