no upgrading from educational FCP huh, even though I own all other apps in suite
Posted by Paul Harb on May 4, 2005 at 6:04 pmI own retail versions of everything else in the FCP suite except my FCP version is a educational version…not sure how to go about upgrading…they really are not giving people like me any kind of resonable upgrade path.

May 4, 2005 at 6:12 pm$500 for the Suite upgrade instead of $700. You can’t beat the price for what you are getting in return. We are all in the same boat. If you are making money with the application, money should not be an issue.

May 4, 2005 at 6:20 pmwhere do you see $500 for the suite? I own all apps as seperate purchases, not as a suite, and I own FCP as a educational version, looks like I can only buy FCP at full price and keep upgrading each app individually, which would be quite expensive, or just bail out of everything Ive purchased now, and buy the suite now….not really great paths for me….Ill do it, but there should be another way…

May 4, 2005 at 9:43 pmMy understanding is you need DVDSP3. I believe when you install the New Suite Upgrade, it will ask for your current serial numbers.
