  Drop Frames

  I suddenly started experiencing a lot (2 or 3 / work session) of drop frame messages the past week. Mainly during the timeline playback but also doing a “print to video’ as well. When the drop frame message comes up, I am not sure if I understand how to “lower the compression data rate” or to “lower preferences for RT audio tracks”. I have been doing a lot of work on my computer lately but I am certain none of the drives are over full. (I have three 120G’s and an extra 150G) Any ideas how I should troubleshoot?

  Try the audio mixdown command in the render menu and then play it again……Sam. What this does is to consolidate all your audio tracks into two so there will be less processing power needed to play the timeline. The mixdown creates an invisible file and will not change/add any tracks to your timeline. However, should you make any audio changes after using the mixdown command the file will be automatically deleted and you’ll have to do it again.

  I’ve tried the audio mixdown and i’m not seeing any new results…
