  Crash on MPEG export

  I recently had the dreaded system folder error (blinking folder) and had to wipe my startup drive and re-install all apps. I’m running:

  G4 (Digital Audio model)
  OS 9.2.2, FCP 3.0.2 w/ RT Mac, QT 6.0.3, DVDSP 1.5 (just to encode) on one partition.

  I’m also running OS 10.2.8, FCP 3.0.2, DVDSP 2.0, QT 6.5.2 on the other partition to do DVD projects.

  Now when I try to do the Quicktime MPEG export on either partion, my system freezes after a few minutes. Never had this problem before, used to be able to export fine with this exact setup. Am I running correct versions of all the software? Is this a Quicktime error? I tried to reinstall QT & DVDSP and didn’t help. Any ideas? Side note: could recurring system folder errors mean my computer is on the way out?
