I’m running FCP HD on a G5. If I got a G4 Powerbook to edit ‘on site’ can I simply use the same FCP install discs on it or do I have to buy another copy of FCP? If you can tell me of any related ‘issues’ I should know about I’d appreciate it.

You need to buy another copy. One copy per machine…per the Apple software agreement.

The related issues? If both machines are on a network, only one copy of FCP will work. If you install FCP on more than one machine then you are breaking your apreement with Apple, and therefore operating illegally.

If you’re connected to a network with both machines, only one copy will work. FCP will quit on both machines if you try to open your 2nd copy while networked.

a message will be sent to apple and in about 15 mins there will be the whisper sound of a black hellicopter hovering overhead as a black van pulls up outside your home where your loved ones will be whisked away to some area 51 type accomodations in san diego.

your macs will be confiscated and replaced with tape loading spectrum zx81’s

    beware the wrath of Jobs!!!
