Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy FCP 5 update timeline?

    was wondering if those at nab know if fcp 5 adds the feature of the timeline updating as the scrub bar moves toward the end of the viewable timeline? thanks.

    That’s to bad, but it doesn’t matter since you can enlarge/reduce the timeline on the fly with apple -/+.
    I always worked on Avid and the timeline always stopped playing when you enlarged/reduced it. I’m very happy that FCP keeps on playing.

    And I ALWAYS kept that scrolling feature turned off myself in Avid. I like to be in control of what I see and where my timeline is. It was so annoying when it moved it on me.

    The zooming thing and panning thing (use the hand tool) doesn’t work when playing if you click play in the canvas window. But most people don’t do that anyway. Press the space bar with the timeline window active and you’ll be able to zoom (cmd+-) or pan (h) during playback.
