  Easy offline to online capture question.

  I’m sorry to ask such a newbie question … What I’m trying to do is do an offline capture for about four or five hours of footage. Of that I will probably only use about an hour’s worth. So I’ve been able to capture in photo jpeg and, according to the manual, once you’ve got your edits in place, you drop your sequence into a new timeline and delete the clips from your bin. Than when you’re ready to up-rez the footage, it’s supposed to re-acquire the footage from your orginial source tapes. But what I’m getting is FCP only looking on the hard drive for the original sources clips.

  I’ve looked in the manual and I can’t find a clear explaination for this. If this is too long to answer, could someone at least tell me which volume, I, II or III I can find the right answers for this.
