    Hi there folks,
I have an animation sequence that has been delivered to me as seperate tif files. How can i roll them into a movie sequence to edit into my video project?

And how the hell do I install quick time pro? I can only seem to find the quick time player on my system. I’m under the impression that i got QT Pro with my FCP software suite. AM I mistaken? When i tried to do a custom install of just the quicktime component, I get a “0 bytes to be installed” message on my installer no matter how many software elements I have checked in the custom install window…

Needless to say, after running thru the whole installation procedure, exactly nothing has changed in my applications folder.

Beware, there’s an idiot over here… I can’t seem to work out what’s going on.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Open up the QuickTime Player. Then go to the menus: QuickTime Player -> Preferences -> Registration. Enter the registered to name and serial number from your FCP packaging. Voila! QuickTime Player Pro.

Now with QuickTime Player, you can File -> Open Image Sequence, and then File -> Export. Make sure you export a movie with the same compression settings as you plan on using in your FCP sequence. Import the resulting movie file into FCP, and you’re off and running.
