    Hello,
I had one 250gb Ext. Drive and I got new one 300gb Ext. Drive. And I transfred all my data in that. There were few duplicate files. I renamed them and copied them again in 300GB.

Later I disconnected my 250 GB HDD. To my surprise I found that whatever files I renamed those files were not linked to the seq. even I did it manually. It was not in sync. Now I’m in a soup.

Meanwhile I had also to set my scratch disk.

    Regards

    Minto.

[Minto] “There were few duplicate files. I renamed them and copied them again in 300GB. “

If they were duplicates, why transfer them at all? Just point FCP to the original (non-duplicated) files.

Just re-import those couple of clips you re-named into the browser and re-edit them back into the sequence.
