  Preview Disabled….help!

  Hi…
  We are trying to digitize dvc-pro HD footage shot at 25p 60ghz. We do not have an external monitor at this stage of the game as we are in the early stages of setting up our system. FCP recognizes the machine as we have machine control, however we see preview disabled when we are in log and capture mode. The panisonic deck (hd1200a) is connected to via firewire to our g5 and we are in FCp 4.5. We also trashed the preferences but that didn’t help us either.
  How can we see the preview in log and capture? Thank you in advance for any help you can send our way!
