  • Volume Control gone from external speakers???

Posted by Phil on April 6, 2005 at 7:00 pm

I moved my G$ the other day to a different room and in the process unplugged my speakers.

Now that I plugged them back in, the volume can no longer be adjusted by the speakers themselves. Now I have to use the on screen volume to adjust the sound.

Can anyone tell me how I revert the volume control back to the speakers?

I know this is not really the correct forum, but I though I would give it a try here, since I always get a great response.

    Thanks

How are the speakers connected to your Mac?

Sounds like you have the cable(s) connected wrong on the SPEAKER end.

Make sure you have the cable(s) into the right input(s) on the back fo the speaker(s).

There can be no setting or connection on the MAC end that would make the on-speaker controls stop working.
