The Beta SP cameras we’ve been using each have a dead pixel in the CCD. Is there a way for me to map the dead (white) pixel to a neighboring pixel to disguise the problem?

There’s also one in the Virtix set, which includes one for precicely this problem.

If you’re wanting to fix the problem in your camera, look into something called Image Mapping. It will kick on the dead pixels and costs about $1200.00, as opposed to paying Sony $6000.00 for a new CCD block, and another $2000.00 for them to install it and ship it back to you.
