Please help. I’m getting an error when I try to save my project. It says: “After Effects error: creating file “File name” (5) ( 3 :: 3 ) Please help me so I can save my project!

Could be lots of things, but start by choosing a new name, and a new location. You may be trying to write over a file name that’s in use, or a location that AE doesn’t have access to.

By now, you may have solved it. Please post your results (hopefully success) to this thread for the archive and the next panicked artist!

I did solve this. I’m almost to embarassed to say what happened. After looking a little bit closer at where I was trying to save the file, I realized indeed that I was trying to save to my local disk drive that had a production disk in it. Slight overlook, but a good lesson to learn in just paying closer attention to what you are doing. Thanks.
