  • Write Permissions Error during Acquiring from/to AFP Network Volume

Posted by Bernhard G. on April 19, 2012 at 6:59 pm

    Hello,

    we have M100 2.1.1 on OSX 10.6.8.
We are using an Open-E V6 NAS to share volumes over AFP.

Years ago we had problems to acquire media that did not need to be transcoded
and got a Write Permissions Error, e.g. when acquiring ProResHQ from the network volume.
This had been fixed with 1.6.
Other files like XDCamEX didn’d made problems; transcoded files were written correctly into Media 100 Media.

But now we have the same error the other way round:
Files without transcoding are acquired correctly,
while acquiring files like XDCamEX leads to a Write Permissions Error.

M100 starts the transcoding into the Media 100 Media folder on the NAS share,
but just before the video part is finished, the error window apears.
The resulting file in the folder can’t be played back. It also doesn’t appear in the Bin.

    Does anyone know the problem?

    Thanks and best regards,
    Bernhard

Did you change anything within your setup? The whole AFP for video media always was suspicious for me; not really sure if there is anything that changed within Media 100 to break this workflow.

    Hello Floh,

    Thank You for replying!

We have updatet Open-E to V6. But I don’t think this is the problem since
the problem occurs with the update to M100 V2.1

    Best regards,
    Bernhard
