  Foreground Object in color, background in B&W?

  How would I have a foreground object (something an actor carries) be in color, but drop the rest of the clip to B&W? The object would be moving.
  My initial thought is to duplicate the clip and just create a detailed mask around the object, but I think I’d have to implement some motion tracking and I don’t have any motion tracking experience w/ AFX. Is there either a better way to achieve this result, or a really good motion-tracking mask tutorial I can watch?
