    hi, i was just wondering if there was an alternate plugin for “Keylight”. one that is cheaper (or possibly free) and is easier to use than using the keying effects that are stock with after effects. thank you for all your help!

    Keylight is free you just have to install it from the CD since it isn’t automatically installed.

    I believe that it only free with the professional (broadcast bundle) of the product.

    FX Home has a product called CompositeLab, but it’s a standalone product and not a plugin. The Pro version is $150 and the Lite version is $110. I’ve never used it, but I’ve played with AlamDV, their visual effects program, and it was a good product.
