  editing with the media 100 codec in final cut…..

  hi..

  i used to cut media 100 material in final cut pro using the media 100 codec..i did this on a mac book. now i own a mac book pro and it doesnt work that well anymore… the playback stutters and i have white frames inbetweeen.. although the timeline says it doesnt have to render..

  final cut pro 6

  how can i improve the performance?

  Sounds like you have installed QuickTime 7.5.5, which breaks the Media 100 codec. Either downgrade to QuickTime 7.5 (instructions can be found on this site), or wait for QuickTime 7.6 and keep your fingers crossed that Apple fixes this problem.
