  EX1 Workflow

  Having spent yesterday exploring the possibilities of a workflow from the new EX1 camera at the London Broadcast Show, I have come to the conclusion that, pending Media 100 hopefully supporting the XDCAM files eventually, I could download HDV media through firewire from the Ex1 to my M10 tape deck and edit as normal by going through my HD-Connect box into Media 100. I realise that I am losing the advantage of the XDCAM picture quality but I am gaining over my current Z1 with the bigger CMOS chip, better low light performance etc etc. As a great fan of Media 100 I am trying to tailor my acquisition kit to what is possible as regards editing. Does anyone want to offer advice on this idea?
