  Dual boot storage options

  Hi All,

  New HDe system is ordered and I look forward to the bonus possibility of installing and trying out FCP which I will put on a separate drive in bay 2. What do you think the best storage solution would be ? Two more internal 7200RPM drives in bays 3 and 4 as RAID 0, partitioning the G-Speed array that will be my main storage or some other external storage solution.

  I’m presently editing exclusively in SD and I’m just curious about FCP so I’m trying to do this on a very tight budget.

  If you are speaking about drives for your Media files, you can share those among FCP and Media 100. There is no reason to buy separate media drives for FCP, if you already have something fast and large for Media 100.

  Thanks for the info. Just the confirmation I was hoping for.

  If all my media files go onto the G-Speed array, any reason / advantage in partitioning the array or will both apps link to their repective media files without problems?
