    Anyone able to help?
I wanted to encode to .flv format.
    I had a 27minute Media100i self contained file.
I brought it into Cleaner and it took between 3 to 4 hours to encode to WMV. Simple enough.
I then took the same file into Flash Video 8 Encoder, and it told me it would take 23 hours!! I thought the timer might be inaccurate, and went to bed, leaving it to encode overnight. When I woke up, it was still encoding, and had barely made any headway, with about 17 hours still supposedly to go! Crazy!
So I stopped the queue, and change the settings, to trim the clip so it was only just under 2 minutes. I put the custom settings back to “Medium” defaults, figuring the default settings may be faster.
It is now telling me I have to wait 3 hours to render 2 minutes.
    What…the…fudge?
    Surely I’m doing something wrong?
How come I can encode to WMV so much faster?
Why is Flash being so damn slow?

    G4 Dual 450Mhz, 512MB Ram.

    Media 100i 7.5 (OS9)
