    Greetings,

Our video editor has a Media 100 system and creates wonderful content for our ministry. I have been working with her to see if she can export a commercial to mpg format that would be compatible with Microsoft Windows. When she exports to MPEG, it doesn’t work on a PC. Is there a codec/codec pack that we can install to remedy this?

    Thanks,
    Chris Bates

Hi Chris, You might just try exporting as a quicktime movie. Your editor will find many differernt compressions to encode from. If quality is the highest importance, use tha animation codec – but remember high quality means high encoding times and a large file. “Video” seems to be a middle of the road solution which delivers good quality and moderate file size. The PC end person can just download a free version of quicktime player and the movie should play just fine on their PC. Best of Luck! Kind Regards, Chris K.

    Hi Chris

the other thing your editor could do is use Flip4Mac pro to turn the files into wmv files for you to play on a pc.

    cheers
