  DVCAM life expectancy

  Can anyone tell me what the shelf life is for DVCAM tape?

  I would have thought DVCAM tape would have the same life as any other tape, and a darn sight longer than DVD’s which some people find are failing in as short a time as five years. I hear of people archiving to tape with more confidence than to any other medium, including drives.
