importing .wmv files
Posted by Bruce Botts on October 25, 2006 at 1:13 pmDoes anyone know a way to import .wmv files into Media 100i for editing? I have source material that the client doesn’t have in any other format.
Thanks

October 25, 2006 at 1:25 pmhttp://www.flip4mac.com the basic player you can download for free. It lets you play wmv and if you spend a little bit of cash for one the ‘pro’ aps you can do more stuff including importing them as QT files. You’ll need QT pro as well probably.
Both applications are worth their weight in gold (actually they’re worth more than their weight in gold because they probably actually don’t weigh anything).
Does anyone know hoe much QTpro and Flip4Mac weighs – sorry it’s late here!!
cheers

October 26, 2006 at 8:45 pmI believe that Flip4Mac is $30 (or so). QT Pro? Think it must have come with something I have -or- wasn’t needed for me to take .wmv files over to QT.
BTW, for what it’s worth I believe the free Flip4Mac won’t convert anything longer than 2 minutes so I HAD to buy the Pro version. But at $30, whose gonna complain?
