Hey there, in after effects 6.5… I create a new, white, solid layer sized 720 x 480, to which I then apply a rectangular masks to reduce its area (I obtain a white rectangle, about 1/4 of the original full sized layer)… To this masked layer, I apply boris Pageturn and here’s the problem: When using keyframes with the pageturn effect and rendering, the original layer (unmasked) keeps flicking on and off in a random way, which is pretty annoying. Any chance this is due to a 3d card problem? or is it just something else?

    Please help!!

    many thanks!

Did you try Precomping the solid before applying the pageturn? It might solve your problem.

Why don’t you just create the solid layer to the size you want ??? If you are just adding a rectangular mask, then you could just skip that and create the solid to the dimensions that you require….other than that, precompose.
