I’m looking at moving from media 100 xr to HD. I have a project coming up that’s being shot on XD cam and want to continue using the media 100 interface, but there are a couple of problems. Importing XD files and lack of support for OMF audio. Is there a way around this or do I have to consider moving over to FCP and learning a whole new system. Any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks

XDCam files right now can be captured as if they are coming from tape using an XDCam player. And somebody (I think after speaking with Boris) posted here earlier that OMF support is planned for HD; maybe you should do a search for it

Just an FYI. I just learned recently that my Media 100 XS does not like XDCAM IMX 50. When I try to do a batch recapture it cannot do it with the PDW 1500. It cannot locate time-code. It does just fine with DVCAM footage on the XDCAM Disc. Weird.
I don’t know if the problem exists with the HD version or not. Something to look into.
