Anyone been able to get the Media 100 Software Codec running on any intel based macs? I’m currently running a MacBook Pro and have tried running the installer. It seems to install fine (no error messages) but when I try to open up a self contained movie, I just get a white screen with Quicktime saying that it cannot find the codec.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

If it’s not a universal binary (and I suspect it isn’t, at least not yet), it won’t load under Intel-native QuickTime.
You *might* be able to get it to load under Rosetta by forcing QuickTime Player to run under Rosetta, too. Instructions, cribbed from Apple’s support site:

Click the QuickTime Player’s icon in the Finder.
From the Finder File menu, choose Get Info (or press Command-I).
Select the checkbox named “Open using Rosetta.”
    Close the Get Info window.

(I don’t have an Intel Mac myself, but assuming QuickTime Player is Universal, this should work.)

    Hey Dave,

That worked… thanks (I should have been able to figure that out on my own 🙂
