  Media 100HD & RAM

  On initial installation, Media 100 recommended only 2 Gigs of ram in the G5….. Has that changed at all? Can I put more RAM in for other programs ala AE….?

  The point is that configurations with more than 2GB RAM never were oficially tested by Media 100. Our systems have between 2GB and 4.5GB of RAM, and the ones with more RAM don

  No problems with 3Gig RAM on M100HD. Improves speed & preview on AE.

  G5 dual 2.7, OS10.4.4, 4G RAM

  Good news indeed….

  Mr. Sheeplove…. 2.6 terra RAID? Does that do uncpsd HD? Looking for a HD-HD solution for the m100hd.

  It will play a single layer of uncompressed HD (cuts only), but trips-up when scrubbing along the timeline & when attempting to mix/disolve to another layer. I think your best bet, for an economic solution, is to test a G-SATA RAID with the 10,000rpm disc speed option. I believe this may do the job. Let me know your findings & good luck!
