I have several diagrams of home renovation plans on 8.5″ X 11″ paper. They have very thin lines. I need to scan these and then do some very tight shots as wel as many pans and zooms. I use Boris FX for the moves. I edit on M100 8.2

My question is what dpi do I scan the photos in? I only have photoshop and Boris FX to work with. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Consider the most extreme zoom in you’ll want at Full Screen. Say its a closet in the kitchen (or whatever).

Scan your whole document at 300 dpi.

Open up a tv size document 640 x 480 or whatever you use.
Drop the other document in and move it around to the kitchen(mentioned above). If thats how you want it to look great; if its too small use a higher dpi.

    Cheers,

    Joe
