i have no problems making DVDs from M100. here’s my procedure …

    – export a self contained M100 file
    – open that file in quicktime pro
    – export as mpeg2
    – bring resulting files into DVD studio pro

i do this all the time with no problem. however, one particular self-contained M100 file has a problem in the resulting DVD. the bottom half of the screen will periodically jump. it only happens once every 10 seconds or so, and it only happens with this one file.

here’s my research — when i open the self-contained M100 file in quicktime pro, it seems to look just fine. it’s only when the clip is compressed to MPEG-2 that the problem appears to set in. however, i’ve made dozens of dvd’s both before and after this problem clip, and they all work great so i’m not inclined to think it’s a problem with quicktime pro or dvd studio pro.

i’ve wasted LOTS of time on this, and so i now turn to you. any ideas at all why this would be happening with just this one clip?
