  Missing Hal Fragment

  My Media100 was working fine and then today it won’t launch because it says “Media 100 cannot launch due to missing Hal Fragment.”

  How do I fix this problem? What the heck is a Hal Fragment?

  Also, what did I do to cause it?

  I guess you are working on a Pre-OSX version?!? I

  Occassionally you can simply find and delete that Hal fragment. I have had success with this in pre-OSX versions of M100. Floh’s suggestions are the most thorough.

  Thanks for the feedback. The culprit was that I had used Retrospect to backup my files recently and it takes a different extension set than m100. Just reloaded m100 extension set and all is fine!
