    My video has white text over a dark video background so you can read it clearly. But as the video goes on, there are white areas so my text is no longer legible in that specific area. Is there a blending mode or something so that my text in that area turns darker (so you can read it), while keeping the other sections white?

    Exclusion is one blending mode that might work for you, although you need to check how it looks when you get into grays.
