    Hi Guys:

This is not a AE question but since you are the expertes I was wondering if you could tell me a really good 3D Animation program. I am looking to recreate tools for a solar pannal company. I need to recreate solar pannals, electrical boxes, tools, etc. but I can’t have them looking cheesie. I’ve looked at FORM-Z and it seemed pretty good. Any other suggestions? Oh, I’m looking for Mac software.

    Thanks:

    Kevin

I don’t use it very often, but Cinema 4D has worked well for me.

If youplan to use your 3d models for motion graphics then definetaly go for Cinema 4D as it is integrated with After Effects. You can easily export your camera data etc straight into your AE project. Maya is a more powerful software but only if you want to do really full on visual effects (which would take you years to learn properly anyway), and is generally a much steeper learning curve.

    Go the Cinema 4D.
