Drawing effect over image
Posted by Giancarlo on September 2, 2006 at 9:05 amHello everyone,
How do I create an animation path mask over an image, to give you a drawing effect while the timeline plays…
Thanks

September 2, 2006 at 3:34 pmDouble-click on the layer that you want to paint on.
In the toolbox, select the paint brush. In the paint brush’s toolbox, select ” Write On “.

And after doing this I noticed how it works, but now How can this drawing be the mask for the image it self?
Thanks again

September 2, 2006 at 7:35 pmHm…if I understand well,
Paint over your layer like you were supposed too. After that, go in your layer’s effects, twirl down the little rectangles and copy the “Paint” Effect in a new comp (to a Null, or etc. as long as it’s on an alpha background).
Then, Auto-Trace it and bring it back to your main comp and depending on what you really want, play with the Mask Modes (Add, Substract, etc.)
Hope that helped.
