How to avoid images being cropped in subsequences or nests?
Hey there! I tried searching for a solution but I couldn’t find a good one, so I’m getting real desperate and need to ask the question. I’m not a pro in premiere pro, so maybe I just missed something simple.
I’m making an animated short film, and I’m timing the animatic’s images in premiere pro. So basically I imported a bunch of images and making them longer or shorter depending on the action and all. But I want to put camera movements on the shots, but a shot is not one image but multiple images, poses of the action. So shortly I want to put a camera movement on multiple images, not individually but as a whole.
The images are larger than the camera frame to make them move from one place to another imitating the camera movement of course. To do that I tried to put the shot’s images into a nested sequence or a subsequence (not exactly sure what’s the difference btw, but I tried both), but both of these cropped the images… Another thing I discovered through searching the net, that making another simple sequence of these images and dragging that into my main sequence does not crop the image, which is good, but I lose the timing I’ve put on the images because I think you can only create these sequences from the project window with the settings those images had at first, also I have like a LOT of shots, hundreds, that would mean I’d have to work with hundreds of sequences, which I’m not sure if that’s a good idea… So here I am now trying to search for a better solution.
If anyone knows anything that could help, I’d be very very grateful!
Also another thing I thought of though might not exist is moving the camera frame around, like really making a camera movement, not a layer movement of the image, is that maybe possible?Thank you for any tips in advance!
