Render Watermark w File and Sequence Name in final output
Is there a somehow automated way to simply render some basic project information in an output clip?
During long/complex projects I often need to give out short work in progress clips to other team members.
Sometimes I get these clips back months later with questions about grading, sound, etc at that specific state of the project. In some cases it is very timeconsuming to find the right version.I tried including some info in the filename…. but then the files get renamed by others etc.
So I was thinking – is there a function that burns in The Filename, Sequencename, etc in the final render?
Besides doing it manually.Other suggestions to help with this problem are welcome.

In the Effects panel, go to Video Effects/Video folder.
There’s an effect called Simple text. You can drop it on the clip and write whatever you want. IDK if it works with an adjustment layer but you could try that for an overlay over the whole thing.

I didn’t know that this “simple text” even exists. I just tried it… and I’ll probably end up using either this or a standart text layer.
Not exactly what I was hoping for though, but it will do the job.
I also do 3D and in Cinema4D there is this excellent feature where the user can toggle all kinds of Projectstats to render in the final output just like a small watermark for later review. I thought that something similar might be hidden in PP ; )

Try this: hit Ctrl + M, then click on the Effects tab. Once there, enable Name Overlay and choose a suitable format from the drop-down list.
