How do you reset a mask’s shape in Premiere Pro CC?
Hello everyone!
I’ve had a problem with mask shapes in Premiere Pro. For example, when I create a “Camera Blur” effect mask (circular), it looks like this:
When I drag any of those squares, it expands the entire mask.
However, sometimes, I misclick or press something and it makes the mask look like this:
You can see the addition of another point, plus some lines that extend out…
This is easy to resolve with CTRL+Z if I notice it immediately. However, if I don’t, I’m screwed.
My question is, how can I reset the mask so it only has 4 points like the original circle, so when I expand one, I can expand the entire mask?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yeah, so once you add an extra point you can delete it by placing your cursor over the point while holding down the command/control key. The cursor changes to the pen icon with a minus (-) and you just click on the vertex and it will be deleted. Can’t say why the mask doesn’t revert to its original shape, but it just doesn’t. Holding down shift while dragging on one of the interior handles on the nearby vertexes will pull the mask back into pretty good shape.
