  Im new here so dont blast me.

  Lets see if I can describe this correctly:

  given: when I make an alpha channel, I play it OVER a video.

  What I want to do is similar…take a black comp and “cut out” text so video plays behind it. ..but i want to run through like 20 variations of the same text….some bigger in size, some smaller in size…some filling up the whole screen and actually being bigger than the comp window….running through quickly like every second or faster.

  I want to be able to see video through the letters, as if there was a black strobing screen with masked text.

  Can I do this in After Effects, or do i need to create it in Photoshop?
