  • Premiere Pro v13 – replace clip function doesn’t work with essential graphics clips

    Hi all,
In Premiere Pro v13 build 225 (Mac) there is a functionality which I can’t get to work any more.
We rely on this on a daily basis. Does anyone know if I’m missing something? I hope it hasn’t been removed by Adobe:

When working with PPro’s essential graphics “container” clips, I can no longer “replace clip” if either the source or destination clip is an essential graphics clip.

N.B. we are currently running PPro CC v11.1.1 (15) on Windows and migrating to Mac v13 build 225.
    Any help really appreciated!
    Cheers

In CC18, Essential Graphics clips don’t function as clips. When you create one, it doesn’t show up in any bin – it just lives on the timeline. You can’t even drag it from the timeline into a bin. So I wouldn’t expect it to function as normal clips do.

I just opened CC17 and did a test, where an EG graphic was draggable to a bin. But this seems to have changed in CC18.
