Proxy video levels don’t match originals
Continue sorting out issues making anamorphic proxies from Arri Alexa files. Am using Go Pro Cineform codec YUV 10 bit, pixel dimensions modified from preset to 1472×1080 which is exactly half original size, as per Adobe proxy workflow guide.
Encoding works fine, anamorphic correct, but video level is brighter and washed out compared to original. Can’t find any settings that affect level.
Left side pic is Arri source file, right is proxy. No LUT or change applied.

It turns out Premiere applies Arri709 LUT when importing native footage. However proxies seem to strip metadata, causing washed out look.
Applying the LUT to each clip or to an adjustment layer for the sequence seems to be the answer.
Again, I’ve not worked with proxies before and not much with LUTs, so if someone knows a better way I’m all ears.
