  • How do I make this rotating circle in Premiere?

Posted by Ashley Britt on August 24, 2018 at 8:35 pm

Here is the YoutTube link to what I am trying to do:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qqFyxeeEwWM&t=51s
The first circle player identifier rotation starts at :18

I created the same shape using Illustrator and dragged it into Premiere. Then I added basic 3D in premiere to give it the same look as they have in their video. I thought they just added rotation onto the shape, but it doesn’t work anymore since it is not a perfect circle, so how else can I make it appear that the arrows in the circle are moving?

I also put a mask over the area where the player goes, but then when I add rotation it moves with the circle also. Am I doing this completely wrong, is there an easier way to do this?

    Please help!

This is definetely a task far after effects instead of premiere. Do the effect with motion tracking in after effects instead and then import the after effects sequence into premiere. good luck!
