  TV Fades To Black

  Apologies as I’m not quite sure which other forums to post this question in.

  Currently we are using an lg 60la6200 as a client viewing monitor in one of our edit suites. Now when we playback video is Premiere the screen has to “wake up” from black so if we start a video in black and cut the image on, the monitor will actually have a fade up effect.

  I understand that this is something that LED televisions do but I’m hoping for some advice as to a work around. I tried adding a black video layer to the bottom of my edit which isn’t true black and this seems to work but obviously isn’t ideal.

  Right now the tv is just hooked up to the HDMI output of the mac pro and playback is through Premiere. Should I be feeding the video through some sort of signal generator to avoid this issue?
