Since I first started using Pro last year, I’ve had the same issue when I first open a source in the source monitor.

There is always a 5 second in/out point already there, and I have to delete them in order to make an edit. Drives me crazzzzy.

Is there a fix? It’s been there one very version of Premiere Pro.

thanks for any guidance on this.

    Many thanks.

It sounds like PPro is using the default time for still images as your default for footage. Because I’ve never seen anything like that except on still images. That is a PPro preference. I would try trashing the preferences, see if that helps.
    Good Luck!
