…But I’m so lame I don’t know how to use it. Here’s the clip:

Starting at 0:10 it includes a beautiful mask. Can someone point me to a tutorial that tells me how to use the second half of the as a mask on the first half, so I can let another layer show through behind the laptop?

    My guess:

    1. Import the first 9 seconds to V1
    2. Import the latter 9 seconds to V2
    3. Apply some mystery command to V2 to make it a mask layer…

    Thanks!

-Add the track matte key effect to the footage.
-Choose the video track where the matte is from the track matte key settings.
-Set the correct composite setting for the matte. If it has alpha use matte alpha. If it’s a black and white matte then use matte luma.
